Vintage Gillette Razor

I will be selling some Gillette razor I received from an older gentleman. He has some information written for each razor. Prior to advertising I try to verify the info, but it is not always easy. In this case the information I have says: "1908 Gillette Razor gold Plain Case Hinge Latch, British Stamped". I cannot seem to find a serial number on it, so I have no idea how the1908 date was determined to be honest. So take that with grain of salt please. I have a lot of photos showing  the razor as well as the case from pretty much all angles. There is a small superficial crack on the handle that has no affect, the razor is very strong.
